The 2D work board for teams and agents

Every edit is an API call. Every API call is an MCP tool.

Cards sit where two axes cross — priority against sprint, owner against status — and one click swaps which axis runs the rows. Your team works in the browser; your agents work over MCP.

  • 20 MCP tools
  • OAuth 2.1
  • 76 documented REST endpoints
  • 48 templates
  • No credit card

One board. Every angle.

Each axis is built from a facet — a category like Status, Owner or Quarter. A facet can be a row header, a column header, a colour spine, a card icon, a dot, or a tray pill, and you can move it between them without touching a single card. Multi-select facets, custom icons and images are on every plan, Free included.

Stop typing. Start sorting.

Forget dropdown menus. Drag a card to the intersection of "Sam" and "Now" and both facets update in a single move — one gesture, two changes, one undo.

Your agents get the same board you do.

Most tools bolt an assistant onto a private database. Glattice has no private database. Our own web app reads and writes through the public REST API — a lint rule and a CI check make sure of it — and the MCP server is a thin protocol adapter over that same API. Point Claude or Cursor at it and they hit the identical boundary, the identical permissions, and the identical audit trail.

  • One data path, not twoEvery service in the web app calls the public API. Direct database access is banned in CI, with zero exceptions.
  • Our AI bar is an MCP clientThe built-in AI Command Bar discovers tools with tools/list and calls them over JSON-RPC — the same tools an external client gets.
  • You can see what the agent didEvery write lands in an append-only history tagged web, api, mcp or ai. A whole AI command undoes in one step.
  • Reads are freeFree spaces get full read access over REST and MCP. Writes through MCP need the target space on Pro or Team.

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about Glattice.

Glattice is a 2D work board. Instead of one column axis, cards sit at the intersection of two facets — Status and Priority, say, or Owner and Quarter — and you can swap which facet drives the rows and which drives the columns without duplicating anything. It ships a public REST API and a remote MCP server, so AI agents can read and write the same boards your team does.

A normal kanban board groups cards one way: columns. A 2D board groups them two ways at once, so a card's position tells you two things instead of one. Dragging a card to a cell sets both facet values in a single move, and swapping the axes re-sorts the whole board — the same cards, a different question answered. Trello, Jira and Notion can approximate the second dimension with swimlanes or grouping, but it is configuration rather than a first-class axis you can flip.

Yes. Glattice runs a remote Model Context Protocol server behind OAuth 2.1. An agent gets exactly the permissions of the person who authorized it, enforced by database row-level security rather than by application code. Reading is available on every plan; writing through MCP requires the target space to be on Pro or Team. Every change an agent makes is recorded in the board's history, tagged as coming from an agent, and shows up in your notification inbox.

Five boards per space, all 48 templates, every facet type including multi-select, all the card decorations, JSON and CSV import and export, 30 days of change history, and read access to the REST API and MCP server. No credit card. Pro is $5 a month for unlimited boards, the AI Command Bar, reusable patterns, live sync and agent writes. Team is $10 per seat a month and adds presence, shared patterns, board sharing and role-based access.

At any time, on any plan, including Free. Export produces JSON or CSV — with date ranges preserved — and import reads them back, either merging into an existing board or replacing it. Data portability is not a paid feature here, and a lapsed Team space stays readable by its owner.

On Pro and Team, changes stream live to everyone with the board open — including writes made by agents through the API. Team adds presence: avatars for who else is here, and the card a teammate is moving shown travelling under their cursor. Every plan gets rich-text comments on cards and an append-only change history recording who changed what, from which interface, with one-click restore of deleted cards.

We don't sell your data and we don't train AI models on it — the business model is selling software. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, and every row is isolated to your space by Postgres row-level security, so no other tenant and no other user can read it. To be precise about the limit: that isolation keeps other customers out, not us. As the operator we can technically read stored content. Client-side encryption that would change this is a goal, not a shipped feature, and we won't describe it as one until it is.
